Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with ownership of high-reliability services.
• Proven experience designing and scaling service-oriented architectures in Go, Java, or similar.
• Experience building and operating distributed systems with emphasis on correctness, availability, and data integrity.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead design reviews to raise code quality across a team.
• Familiarity with relational data stores, gRPC/Protobuf, and cloud-native observability tooling.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and delivery of new financing products and features, from architecture through production launch, ensuring correctness and safety across high-value lending operations.
• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and frameworks that support loan lifecycle management, risk calculations, and real-time position tracking.
• Drive engineering excellence by improving developer tooling, testing infrastructure, monitoring, and operational reliability across financing systems.
• Partner with Product, Risk, Operations, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable, well-scoped technical solutions each quarter.
• Lead technical initiatives that strengthen system resilience, reduce operational risk, and support the team's ability to ship safely at speed.
