Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to architect, build, and scale backend services that support Wallet, Tokenization, and Web3 platform infrastructure. You will deliver a best-in-class trading experience for crypto and on-chain assets, solving complex distributed system challenges in a high-stakes environment.

The role is based in Menlo Park, CA and New York, NY with hybrid attendance at least three days per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development.
• Experience designing, building and maintaining distributed systems at scale.
• Proficiency in backend languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with blockchain fundamentals including wallets and on-chain settlement.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and operate resilient, scalable distributed systems and backend services across Wallet, Tokenization, and Web3 platform infrastructure.
• Drive architectural strategy bridging traditional finance with on-chain systems, including smart contract integrations.
• Provide technical leadership on large-scope initiatives and mentor engineers.
• Partner with Product, Compliance, Security to define roadmaps and deliver high-impact solutions.
• Champion engineering excellence with design reviews and improved observability.
