Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY to architect, build, and scale backend services for Wallet, Tokenization, and Web3 platforms. You will drive cross‑team architectural initiatives, ensure correctness, and deliver a high‑quality trading experience for crypto and tokenized assets.

You will lead technical efforts, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, security, and compliance to shape roadmaps and robust systems across Robinhood Chain.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with distributed systems at scale.
• Backend development expertise in Go, Python, or Java, with cloud-native, event-driven architectures.
• Strong system design, distributed data modeling, and scalability tradeoffs.
• Experience with correctness-critical systems (idempotency, reconciliation, ledger consistency).

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and operate resilient, scalable backend services for Robinhood Wallet, Tokenization, and Web3 platforms.
• Bridge traditional financial infrastructure with on-chain systems, including smart contracts and DEX flows.
• Provide technical leadership on large initiatives, breaking work into milestones.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Security, and leadership to define roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers, lead design/code reviews, improve reliability and observability across teams.
