Job summary

Robinhood is hiring a Software Engineer to build backend services and infrastructure for Robinhood Wallet, Tokenization, and Web3. You will tackle scalable, correct cryptofinance systems handling real customer assets around the clock.

You’ll join the Robinhood Chain and DeFi-focused teams, contributing to cross‑team initiatives while advancing cryptographic and on‑chain capabilities with a strong ownership mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Backend development using Go, Python, or Java with cloud-native architectures.
• Strong grasp of system design, data modeling, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Care for correctness-critical systems—idempotency, reconciliation, and reasoning about failure modes when money is at stake.
• Strong ownership mindset with end-to-end delivery in cross-functional environments.
• Interest in blockchain fundamentals—EVM, smart contracts, wallets, or willingness to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable backend services and infrastructure across Robinhood Wallet, Tokenization, and Web3 platform systems, with correctness and auditability as hard requirements.
• Build the connective tissue between traditional market infrastructure and on-chain systems, including smart contract integrations, chain indexers, and DEX trade flows.
• Develop product-facing features and platform enhancements that meet strict correctness and scalability standards.
• Identify and implement improvements to system performance, engineering productivity, and risk reduction.
• Collaborate closely with product, compliance, client, platform teams, and external partners to deliver impactful technical solutions.
