Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join the Core Backend team within Cloud Customer Experience. You will help build Crusoe Cloud's foundational services and ensure fast, reliable experiences for our AI-focused platform.

Responsibilities include owning the API gateway, quota management, and notifications, while mentoring teammates and shaping the engineering culture at Crusoe.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, Java, or C++.
• Experience designing versioned public APIs (REST/gRPC) and SDK surfaces.
• Strong background in cloud-native services and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable services powering Crusoe Cloud UX.
• Own and evolve the API gateway for routing, auth, rate limiting, and tenant isolation.
• Build the notification and eventing backbone with guarantees and user preferences.
• Advance the quota and entitlement system with fast, correct enforcement.
• Reduce time-to-first-GPU by hardening onboarding, provisioning, and identity flows.
• Extend the resource management layer for new infrastructure offerings.
• Collaborate with product and design to evaluate tools and customer needs.
• Contribute to architectural decisions ensuring reliability and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture.
