Speechify seeks a backend engineer to own the design, development, and maintenance of robust APIs (public TTS, payment, subscription, auth, analytics). You will align backend architecture with product strategy and user needs in a fast-paced, async-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TS/Node (required).
• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
• Efficient ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks by urgency and impact.
• Preferred: Docker and containerized deployments.
• Preferred: Deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, and internal APIs (Payment, Subscription, Auth, Analytics).
• Oversee full backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on enterprise customization and integration needs.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
