Job summary

SageSure is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to own and evolve backend services powering the post-bind policyholder journey, including onboarding, inspection orchestration, and proactive home-service offers. You will influence architectural decisions and collaborate with product teams to deliver secure, scalable API-driven experiences.

We operate a microservices-based SaaS platform on AWS, with a strong emphasis on API-based integration and reliability across a distributed system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience building and deploying software applications.
• Strong experience with Java and modern Java tooling for backend development.
• Proven track record of designing scalable, secure APIs and integration solutions.
• Experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to craft innovative capabilities in our API products.
• Design and implement modern Java services that connect our platform to integration partners.
• Make high-level technical and architectural decisions to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable solutions.
• Own features end-to-end from design through testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions.
