Job summary

Solveva is hiring a backend software engineer to extend the insurance underwriting platform’s backend capabilities. You will build event-driven Java/Spring services within a microservices context and contribute to data flows across PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional agile teams, maintain high code quality, and participate in architectural discussions to scale the system for growing workloads and new markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent practical track record.
• English proficiency (minimum B2).
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Hands-on with Java, Spring, Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience with message queues (Kafka).
• Experience building distributed systems and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing complex software applications based on event-driven architecture with Java and Spring.
• Collaborating within cross-functional agile teams throughout the entire SDLC.
• Applying development best practices to ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Encouraging technical discussions within the team for continuous product improvement.
• Communicating with product owners, business analysts, and developers in an international team.
• Analyzing environment and obstacles to identify solutions.
