Job summary

SageSure is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for our fully remote engineering organization. You will design, build, and evolve software platforms supporting customers, partners, and operations across a distributed, scalable architecture.

You'll lead technical decisions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help drive availability, security, and automation across microservices and APIs. Experience with cloud-native stacks is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java/TypeScript/Go/Python/C#).
• Experience designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining APIs, services, distributed systems, or modern applications.
• Experience with databases and applying software design, architecture, testing, and development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications, services, APIs, and platform capabilities.
• Lead the technical design and implementation of solutions for high transaction volumes and evolving customer needs.
• Partner with product managers, quality engineers, architects, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Establish and influence the technical direction of projects, including architecture, design patterns, and engineering standards.
• Deliver software through automated build, testing, deployment, and continuous delivery processes.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to other engineers.
