Zusammenfassung

SaidGig is seeking a backend-focused engineer to build scalable services powering large-scale web and mobile experiences. You will collaborate with Engineering, UX, Product, Business, and Analytics teams to deploy features rapidly and learn from experimentation and customer feedback.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining Node.js, TypeScript, and Rust services, building REST and GraphQL APIs, and advancing AI capabilities within production systems.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems at a high-scale organization (or a CS degree + 3 years).
• Production backend coding with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Rust experience in production services or performance-critical modules.
• Knowledge of semantics, cookies, headers, caching, sessions, and service-to-service communication.
• Experience building or operating high-traffic consumer web platforms.
• GraphQL with Node.js, including schema design and resolvers (preferred).
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards (preferred).
• Ability to explain complex concepts and collaborate with senior stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Lead delivery of defined features with cross-functional engineering teams, aligning work to platform and system goals.
• Design, build, test, and maintain Node.js, TypeScript, and Rust services throughout the software lifecycle, including CI/CD.
• Develop and optimize server-to-server integrations plus REST and GraphQL API layers for high-traffic customer applications.
• Integrate AI and machine-learning capabilities into services and use generative AI tools to improve engineering productivity.
• Contribute to solution design, conduct code reviews, and apply practices for scalable, secure, maintainable systems.
• Monitor application performance, resolve defects, and improve services continuously.
• Mentor colleagues and share knowledge to strengthen engineering quality across the team.
