Oak Street Health, part of CVS Health, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own complex backend workstreams, drive architectural decisions, and mentor engineers within a healthcare environment. The role emphasizes reliability, maintainability, and scalable design to support clinical care delivery and interoperability with health networks.

You will design data models, build ingestion pipelines, and lead technical standards while ensuring strong test coverage and production health across services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building distributed backend systems in production.
• Proficiency building system prompts and AI frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB or document stores.
• Track record of leading technical work across a team.
• Experience with cloud-native deployment (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Responsabilités

• Design robust system prompts using LLM frameworks
• Partner with product teams and business stakeholders to understand and automate workflows
• Design and implement robust file-ingestion pipelines using Databricks
• Own a domain or service area end-to-end, including its data model and integration contracts
• Lead code reviews, set technical standards, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers
• Hold the team accountable for test coverage, observability, and the production health of the services you own
