Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to design, develop, and scale an identity security solution for AI agents across enterprise systems. The role emphasizes end-to-end feature ownership, collaboration with product and security teams, and applying AI techniques to strengthen agent security.

The candidate will tackle access risks posed by AI agents, contribute to a high-impact startup vibe, and work on distributed systems with modern cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Golang and Java.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and Microservices architectures.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Innate love for Distributed Systems (designing, developing, debugging, monitoring).
• Experience: 3+ years in backend software development focused on APIs and microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IAM services.
• Experience with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, and distributed systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, ownership from ideation to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Architect and Build: design, develop, and scale an identity security solution for AI agents.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: work with product management, other engineering teams, and security experts.
• End-to-End Ownership: own feature lifecycle from concept to deployment and maintenance.
• AI-Driven Engineering: leverage AI techniques to advance Agent Security product.
