Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Account Manager for the Department of War - Air Force to lead AWS cloud initiatives with USTRANSCOM and AMC, shaping strategy and closing strategic opportunities. You will manage a cross-functional team and build deep partnerships with DoW leadership to position AWS as a trusted advisor on mission-critical programs.

The role requires US citizenship and a Top Secret clearance, with a proven track record in cloud solutions sales to defense and government sectors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers.
• 5+ years of professional or military experience.
• Experience selling cloud solutions.
• Experience with AWS technologies.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.

Responsibilities

• Own, lead, and develop a growing book of business for USTRANSCOM and Air Mobility Command as part of our DoW sales team.
• Think strategically about the DoW mission regarding mobility and build compelling value propositions.
• Drive business and technical relationships and close business by identifying key opportunities.
• Establish deep relationships with DoW/Air Mobility Command leadership to position AWS as a trusted advisor.
• Engage with AWS DoW/Federal/Global Public Sector leadership to execute broader DoW strategies.
• Lead an account team of sales resources aligned to the business.
• Conduct day-to-day interactions with customers and system integrators across projects.
• Manage a growing pipeline and progress deals through the sales cycle.
• Collaborate with AWS DoW team members to drive success across MilDeps.
