Job summary

Care.com is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to own and modernize the Amazon Connect Consumer platform, supporting voice, SMS and chat across channels. The role spans Linux/Windows environments in AWS, with an emphasis on reliability, security and scalable operations.

You will work with DevOps, Engineering and Security teams, supervise on-call rotation, and drive automation using Terraform and Ansible while enhancing dashboards and reporting for the contact center platform.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in systems, infrastructure or telecom engineering roles, including hands-on production support.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational health of the Amazon Connect Consumer platform in collaboration with the Operations team.
• Administer and troubleshoot contact flows, queues, routing, IVR, numbers and carrier connectivity.
• Develop dashboards and integrations; build monitoring, runbooks and automation for AWS Connect Consumer Operations.
• Manage Linux and Windows environments on AWS for business-critical systems; ensure high availability and performance.
• Participate in on-call rotation and act as a Tier-3 escalation point for complex infra and telecom issues.
• Collaborate with Security and Compliance on audits (PCI, SOX, SOC 2) and data handling.
