Job summary

Verisys seeks a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, secure, and scale its AWS-based healthcare credentialing platform. You will bridge cloud and on-prem systems, act as the Linux SME, manage a Nutanix environment, and own email relays and certificate management in a remote, high-ownership role.

You will move between cloud engineering, systems administration, and support work, adapting to changing priorities in a small team while collaborating effectively with a distributed

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and/or systems administration with AWS production work.
• Experience designing secure, scalable AWS infrastructure following best practices.
• Proficiency with Linux, Windows Server, and on-prem/Cloud hybrid environments.
• Automation via scripting in Python, PowerShell, or Bash; IaC with CloudFormation.
• Experience with Nutanix AHV, Prism Element/Central; container platforms and ECS Anywhere.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure AWS infrastructure with high availability.
• Manage infrastructure as code and support CI/CD pipelines for containers.
• Administer Linux, Windows, and Nutanix on-prem and cloud environments.
• Own SMTP relay, SSL/TLS certificates, monitoring, and on-call readiness.
