Job summary

Navitas Resourcing Group seeks an AVP, Renewable Energy Development in San Diego to lead multiple wind, solar and storage projects through development stages.

You will drive commercial strategy, oversee site control, permitting, interconnection and milestones while supporting acquisitions and partnerships. Senior leadership will expect a strong track record in US renewables and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience developing utility-scale renewable energy projects in the US.
• Experience with site control, permitting, interconnection and commercial milestones.
• Experience with utility RFPs, power marketing, PPAs or other offtake arrangements.
• Demonstrated leadership or team-management experience.
• Degree in engineering, finance, economics, business or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple utility-scale renewable energy projects across the development lifecycle.
• Advance site control, permitting, interconnection, budgets and milestones.
• Lead utility RFP responses and support power-marketing and offtake activities.
• Lead and support the negotiation of PPAs and other commercial agreements.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, project finance and legal teams.
• Manage external consultants, landowners, utilities, local officials and development partners.
• Support acquisitions, joint ventures and project due diligence.
• Assess project economics, development risks and investment opportunities.
• Present project updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Identify new markets, projects and potential development partners.
• Support and mentor junior members of the development team.
