Job summary

John Hancock AVP, Implementation & Innovation will shape and accelerate the strategic agenda across Retail & Wealth Operations, translating enterprise strategy into scalable initiatives and embedding a culture of data‑driven decision making.

The role leads strategy development, program delivery, and transformation efforts with governance, risk controls, and a focus on customer outcomes across geographies and teams. Based in Boston, MA, this is a senior, on-site leadership position.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic advisor to the Global Head of Retail & Wealth Operations.
• Define and operationalize the strategic roadmap aligned with business priorities, including OKRs and KPIs.
• Provide end-to-end coordination of strategic initiatives across teams, geographies, and leadership forums.
• Champion a customer-first mindset to enhance the client and advisor journey.
• Oversee complex program delivery, ensuring on-time and on-budget results.
• Establish governance and delivery frameworks embedding accountability and removing barriers to execution.
• Embed risk, compliance, and control standards into all transformation activities, ensuring audit readiness and regulatory alignment.
• Oversee testing, readiness, and post-implementation controls to safeguard operational integrity.
