Job summary

Blue Origin's Avionics & Control Products (ACP) team seeks engineers to design, assemble, test, and optimize ground and test systems for propulsion avionics development and production in the ACP lab. You will integrate electronics and software for development, verification, and validation to enable safe, repeatable spaceflight.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace or related test systems, strong drawing interpretation, and 5S/ESD discipline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in electronic test systems troubleshooting, repair, and operation.
• Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong ability to read and understand technical manuals/detailed work instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to work with electronic test instruments, systems and software.
• Proficient level knowledge of 5S, ESD, FOD and Tool Control best practices.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windchill.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical and mechanical systems using engineering drawings.
• Build, test and rework cable and harness assemblies.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration on test systems following engineering work instructions.
• Review, execute and help improve various test procedures and processes.
• Provide input on how to streamline test procedures and incorporate process improvements.
• Uphold 5S principles to keep the team’s test lab clean and organized.
• Ensure lab equipment remains within calibration and that customers follow lab best practices in an ESD environment.
