Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an avionics ground test equipment specialist within the ACP organization. You will define requirements, architectures, and interfaces for ground test hardware and software, and drive make/buy decisions for components used in avionics test systems.

You will diagnose anomalous behavior, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions independently or with stakeholders, including remote triage of systems networked across sites. Limited travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or electrical engineering.
• 2+ years performing electrical design, systems engineering, electronics integration, system validation and verification, networking, scripting, or test equipment design.
• Experience with data communication protocols.
• Experience designing signal conditioning and analog-to-digital solutions for HIL test equipment.
• Proven ability to build trusting and effective working relationships that improve team performance, deliver results, and strengthen our culture.
• Strong organizational, analytical skills, and digital skills.
• Hands-on problem solving and avionics integration.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements, architectures, and interfaces for avionics ground and test equipment
• Conduct make/buy trades for components of avionics ground and test systems
• Design avionics ground test equipment composed of COTS and custom-designed components
• Support integration and test of avionics hardware, software, instrumentation, and harnessing as a representative of the test equipment hardware team
• Identify anomalous behavior, rapidly determine root cause, and implement corrective action independently or in close collaboration with stakeholders
• Validate and verify that avionics ground and test systems are meeting customer expectations and requirements
• Triage remotely networked systems
