Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer within the CN&S organization to drive design, development, implementation, and advancement of next‑generation Aircraft Weather Radar and integrated avionics technologies.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure success from system requirements to verification, stay ahead of industry trends, and help shape aviation safety through innovative radar and avionics solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, ideally in the Avionics, Radar, Aerospace or related disciplines.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of weather radar systems into Flight Test aircrafts, focusing on software versions and performance parameter configurations, while adhering to regulatory and safety standards.
Design and oversee the execution of flight test plans to validate performance and functionality under real-world scenarios.
Analyze flight data to identify potential performance issues and ensure all system requirements are met prior to certification.
Model-Based Systems Design and Development (MSBE).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams consisting of systems, software, hardware and test engineers to understand customer requirements and provide innovative solutions.
Author high-level systems requirements in DOORs.
Conduct system-level analysis and optimization.
Utilize MATLAB-based simulation tools.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
