Job summary
Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Lead System Engineer to join the Radar Altimeters group within CNS, delivering system and design development across commercial and military aircraft. You will own requirements, architectures, and verification activities, while guiding other engineers and interfacing with customers and cert authorities.
The role emphasizes independent work, leadership, and collaboration, with travel up to 10% and a strong RF/avionics background.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, systems, or aerospace.
- 10–15 years aerospace related work experience.
- Experience with MIL-810F/DO-160G and EMI/EMC.
- Leadership experience leading other engineers.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to existing programs and operate independently on tasks.
- Develop requirements and system architecture – perform trade studies.
- Design to meet requirements and test/validate designs.
- Draft program artifacts and support production and proposals.
- Stay abreast of industry standards and guide team decisions.
