Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Senior Avionics Systems Engineer to contribute to the NewGlenn program. You will lead architecture studies, define and decompose subsystem requirements, and develop verification plans.

You will coordinate with integration and test teams to ensure performance and safety across the avionics suite. The role demands strong systems thinking, collaboration across disciplines, and experience with DO-178/ARP4761 style analyses.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Computer Science, Aerospace, or related technical field.
• 5+ years in full life cycle avionics development.
• Experience with systems engineering practices and safety-critical systems.
• Ability to decompose requirements and flow down to interfaces.
• Proven track record delivering complex avionics systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead NewGlenn Avionics architecture trade studies and concept development.
• Manage requirements at the Avionics subsystem level and flow down to components.
• Create verification and validation plans with test teams.
• Develop and manage power/network architecture for multiple subsystems.
• Produce interfaces documents and perform design reviews (PDR/CDR).
