Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to support the New Glenn program. You will lead architecture trade studies, manage requirements, and coordinate verification and vehicle integration across teams.

The role requires a strong systems mindset, safety-critical experience, and collaboration across disciplines. Proficiency in Python, Linux, and data tools is expected in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Computer Science, Aerospace, or related field.
• 5+ years in full life cycle avionics development.
• Knowledge of systems engineering practices and safety-critical systems.
• Understanding of requirements definition, decomposition, and flow-down; hardware specs.
• Experience delivering complex, safety-critical avionics with multiple subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to or lead New Glenn Avionics architecture trade studies and verification planning.
• Analyze and flow down requirements to lower-level specs.
• Generate verification plans and work with test teams to ensure requirements are met.
• Develop and manage power/network architecture across Avionics subsystems.
• Produce technical documentation and participate in design reviews.
• Provide mentorship within the New Glenn Avionics team.
