Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced avionics hardware engineer to lead the development and operation of New Glenn avionics systems. You will define architecture, design hardware, and verify components across the product lifecycle with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires deep hands-on expertise in analog/digital hardware, power electronics, and radiation-tolerant design principles, contributing to mission assurance and process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 10+ years of direct electronics hardware experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing and integrating aerospace electronic assemblies (custom cards or–COTS).
  • Analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit analysis, simulation, design, test, debug, signal integrity, power, grounding and board layout.

Responsibilities

  • Develop avionics hardware boards and assemblies through full lifecycle (concept to production).
  • Design analog and digital boards interfacing with avionics systems and test/verify releases.
  • Support architecture trades studies, performance characterization, device selection and roadmap direction.
