Job summary

Blue Origin’s Lunar Permanence team is seeking a Senior Avionics Systems Engineer (C&DH) to lead architecture trades, requirements flow-down, and verification planning for space-grade lander systems. You will design deterministic networks and oversee integration across hardware and software, contributing to mission-critical safety and performance.

The role requires 8+ years in avionics, strong systems engineering expertise, and hands-on experience with C&DH subsystems.

Qualifications

B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field.
8+ years in full lifecycle avionics systems development (requirements, design, integration, test, operations).
Strong systems engineering practices, with experience in safety-critical, networked avionics.
Experience delivering C&DH or similarly integrated avionics with multiple subsystems and IO interfaces.
Experience with deterministic networks and CCSDS/spaceflight communication concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead or contribute to C&DH architecture trade studies and concept development.
Manage requirements flow-down to lower-level components and verification plans.
Develop and manage network architecture for deterministic performance and budget compliance.
Create and review reliability analyses (FTA, FMEA) and support verification activities.
Contribute to design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and mentor team members.
