Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Avionics Systems Engineer in the Lunar Permanence team to advance the Blue Moon landers and related infrastructure for crewed lunar transport. You will work on C&DH hardware/software integration and network design to ensure deterministic performance and safety.

Join a mission‑driven, collaborative group and lead architecture studies, verification planning, and design reviews, while mentoring teammates and contributing to mission success.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full life cycle avionics development experience.
• Knowledge of systems engineering practices and safety-critical systems.
• Ability to define and decompose requirements; hardware interfaces knowledge.
• Experience with deterministic networks (TSN, ARINC 664, Time-Triggered Ethernet).
• Experience with networking (Ethernet, VLANs, QoS, IP, TCP/UDP).
• Strong communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead C&DH architecture studies and verification planning.
• Flow down requirements to lower-level specs.
• Develop verification plans and support integration/test.
• Design and manage C&DH network architecture.
• Conduct fault tree analyses and reliability analyses.
• Produce technical writing and interface descriptions.
• Contribute to design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).
• Provide mentorship within avionics team.
