Job summary

Collins Aerospace, RTX company, is seeking a Sr. Avionics Product Safety Engineer to join the RMS team in Burnsville, MN. The role focuses on reliability, maintainability and safety of avionics systems serving Air Transport customers.

You will influence system-level design, guide safety milestones, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable products. You will work in a hybrid setup in Burnsville, MN with relocation assistance available. This role requires U.S.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience in systems, hardware, or software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil and military reliability analyses (FMEAs, FMECAs, RM predictions) using various data sources.
• Perform safety assessment processes (FHAs, PSSAs, SSAs, FTAs, CMAs).
• Support systems, hardware, and software engineering teams to define reliability and safety requirements.
• Review design and development docs for safety critical equipment.
• Support peer review activities.
• Develop and maintain expertise in assigned areas and programs.
