Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Safety Engineer to join our Reliability, Maintainability, and System Safety team. You’ll influence system-level design decisions, guide programs through safety milestones, and help build safe, reliable avionics for Air Transport customers.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers, ensuring compliance with ARP4761, ARP4754A, DO-254, and DO-178B/C.

Qualifications

• University degree with minimum 8 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with minimum 5 years of experience.
• Experience in aircraft systems, hardware, or software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead programs through ARP4761 civil safety assessment processes.
• Perform/peer review System Safety Plans, FHAs, PSSAs, SSAs, FTAs, and CMAs.
• Support safety requirements definition across development activity.
