Collins Aerospace is seeking a Sr. Avionics Product Safety Engineer to join the RMS team in a hybrid Burnsville, MN role.

You will drive reliability analyses, safety assessments, and safety requirements across civil and military avionics systems, influencing design decisions and working with engineering and customers to ensure mission readiness. You’ll engage in cross-functional collaboration, learn Vision and Sensing Solutions products, and contribute to ensuring safe, reliable avionics for air

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience in systems, hardware, or software engineering.
• Preferred: experience in aircraft systems.
• Knowledge of ARP4761/MIL-STD-882E and related standards.

Responsabilités

• Perform civil and military reliability analyses (FMEAs, FMECA, R&M predictions).
• Perform safety assessment processes (FHAs, PSSAs, SSAs, FTAs, CMAs).
• Support design teams in defining reliability and safety requirements.
• Review safety-critical design documentation and support peer reviews.
• Develop expertise across Vision and Sensing Solutions products and processes.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to plan safety activities.
