Collins Aerospace seeks a Sr. Avionics Product Safety Engineer to join the Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety team in the US. You will perform civil and military reliability analyses and safety assessments, and help shape safety requirements early in development.

You will collaborate with systems, hardware, and software engineers and interact with customers, advancing safety across aircraft programs and technologies.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience in systems, hardware, or software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil and military reliability analyses (FMEAs, FMECA, RRPs) using data inputs.
• Conduct safety assessments (FHAs, PSSAs, SSAs, FTAs, CMAs) for safety-critical equipment.
• Support engineering teams in defining reliability and safety requirements.
• Review design documentation for safety-critical equipment and participate in peer reviews.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to develop safety plans.
