Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 5 years of experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years.
• Experience with software, hardware, and personnel safety.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform System Safety program activities, hazard analyses, and design analyses.
• Conduct hazard tracking and safety risk management.
• Collaborate across integrated product teams to eliminate hazards or develop effective controls.
• Develop safety‑related contract deliverables and internal safety documentation.
• Serve as a Safety SME to guide program and product leadership.
• Interpret system requirements, customer specifications, and applicable military/industry standards.
• Review requirement and design changes, test plans, and verification artifacts to ensure safety considerations are incorporated.
