Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA is hiring a Sr Avionics Lab Engineer to join the EE Avionics PCBA Rework lab. You will design, test, and validate satellite electronic subsystems, perform precise PCBA rework, and support hardware bring‑up and environmental testing.

You will work in a team-based, high-ambiguity environment, maintaining zero-defect workmanship and collaboration with electrical engineers to meet program milestones.

Qualifications

5+ years hardware development in space/aerospace environment.
5+ years hands-on PCBA rework/modification/repair to 0402 size.
Experience with avionics hardware assembly, validation testing, and wiring.

Responsibilities

Adhere to ESD sensitive hardware safety protocols.
Perform fine pitch PCBA rework/modification/repair on complex PCBA.
Perform first article PCBA inspection and polymeric inspection.
Interpret schematics and data sheets.
Document work performed and report discrepancies through proper channels.
Support electronic hardware validation testing with standard test equipment.
Hardware bring-up, debugging, environment/reliability testing.
