Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to own avionics hardware from architecture through production ramp. You will lead cross-functional efforts across systems, firmware, manufacturing, and test to deliver high-reliability satellite hardware.

You will drive circuit design, ECAD, and bring-up/verification, defining requirements and verification plans while ensuring production readiness and robust design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years hardware development across full lifecycle (concept through production).
• Experience with PCB design and debug (processors, FPGAs, power supplies, sensors).
• Experience with complex board designs (high-speed interfaces, power electronics, high-reliability).
• ECAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Experience bringing hardware through bring-up, validation, and integration.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of satellite avionics subsystems from architecture to production ramp.
• Lead system and subsystem architecture translating requirements into manufacturable hardware.
• Drive circuit design, analysis, and ECAD schematic capture to meet targets.
• Lead hardware design reviews and set design quality standards.
• Develop and execute bring-up, verification, and qualification test strategies.
• Lead debugging and root cause resolution across development, qualification, and production.
• Establish requirements, traceability, and verification frameworks for hardware subsystems.
• Lead production readiness and ramp, including test strategy and yield improvement.
• Influence cross-functional teams to deliver program milestones.
• Act as technical leader and raise engineering standards.
