Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the avionics bus hardware development. You will guide a cross-functional team across hardware and software to deliver reliable, high-performance space-grade electronics.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive hardware design experience, and the ability to manage end-to-end development, validation, and flight readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent required.
• 7+ years designing and/or testing complex PCBA or hardware.
• Experience with schematic and layout ECAD tools and high-speed electronics.
• Leadership experience with multi-disciplinary hardware teams in aerospace/consumer electronics.

Responsibilities

• Lead avionics hardware development for the avionics bus.
• Define subsystem requirements with hardware and software teams.
• Develop and deliver hardware subsystems; manage development processes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including RF, propulsion, software, and manufacturing.
• Hire, lead and mentor the avionics electrical engineering team through design lifecycle.
• Contribute to test plans to ensure robust space-grade electrical designs.
