Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead hardware development for the Amazon Leo satellite avionics. You will design, verify, and bring up subsystems across the full lifecycle.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across systems, firmware, manufacturing, and integration to deliver reliable, high‑quality hardware for a fast-paced space program in Redmond, WA.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of hardware system experience across full product lifecycle.
• Experience with satellite, avionics, or high‑reliability environments.
• Experience with radiation‑tolerant design or qualification.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end satellite avionics subsystems from architecture to production ramp.
• Lead architecture and translate mission requirements into manufacturable hardware.
• Drive circuit design, ECAD, and verification strategies.
• Lead hardware design reviews and ensure design quality.
• Develop bring-up, validation, and qualification tests.
• Collaborate with systems, firmware, manufacturing, and suppliers to meet milestones.
