Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Washington state is seeking an Avionics Hardware Engineer to design, integrate, and test data acquisition systems for the New Glenn program. You will help ensure sensor data integrity and system reliability across extreme environments throughout the full product lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on hardware validation, PCB/schematic reviews, and collaboration with embedded software and network teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of avionics systems design experience, aerospace preferred.
  • Strong signal conditioning and AFE front-end understanding.
  • Experience with mixed-signal isolation and sampling design.
  • Familiarity with Wheatstone bridges or IEPE sources.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD and environmental testing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop system requirements for data acquisition used in vehicle health monitoring.
  • Create and review schematics and PCB designs to meet aerospace standards.
  • Review and validate PCB layouts for signal integrity and thermal performance.
  • Perform benchmarking and guide design through LRU NPI processes.
  • Collaborate with embedded software and network OS teams during integration.
  • Develop robust systems for extreme environments and apply DFMA principles.
  • Evaluate AI-enabled inspection and BIT solutions to improve throughput.
  • Support full development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment.
  • Lead LRU design validation for sensor excitation stability and anti-aliasing.
