Blue Origin in Denver is seeking a Principal Technical Lead Engineer for Rocket Engine Avionics & Control Systems. In this role, you'll be responsible for the technical authority of avionics systems, ensuring safety and performance standards are met across engineering phases.

The ideal candidate should possess over 10 years of relevant experience, strong leadership capabilities, and work in a collaborative environment to drive technical vision and system integration. The position includes mentoring engineers and supporting test campaigns for propulsion systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in avionics systems and demonstrated progression to senior roles.
• Proven track record of leading complex technical programs or subsystems.
• Strong knowledge of control theory and closed-loop system design.
• Ability to lead and influence technical teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own the avionics and control system technical baseline for the assigned rocket engine program.
• Lead design reviews for the assigned engine avionics systems.
• Develop and maintain model-based design frameworks.
• Mentor and develop engineers at all levels.
• Support critical test campaigns and flight operations.
