Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking an experienced AVEVA PI Systems Engineer to administer enterprise PI environments, drive data integrations from OT sources, and improve system reliability. You will collaborate with IT and Operations to upgrade infrastructure, automate maintenance, and create scalable solutions using Python, PowerShell, and .NET.

You will mentor junior team members and support real-time data pipelines for control center operations. This full-time role may include remote work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Five or more years administering enterprise-scale AVEVA PI environments including Data Archives, PI Collectives, Asset Framework (AF), Interfaces, Connectors, Adapters, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, and PI Vision.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts, including identifying and troubleshooting communication issues.
• Proficiency with programming and scripting languages such as .NET, PowerShell, and Python

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for OT systems, with a primary focus on the AVEVA PI System and associated data integrations.
• Configure and maintain data collection into the AVEVA PI System from OT platforms, including SCADA systems, DCSs, RTUs, PLCs, and other data sources.
• Investigate, evaluate, and integrate complex or unfamiliar OT systems with the AVEVA PI System.
• Administer and support AVEVA PI System components including, but not limited to PI Data Archive, PI Collectives, PI Asset Framework (AF), Interfaces, Connectors, Adapters, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, and PI Vision.
• Lead efforts to improve PI System architecture, data integrations, and platform reliability.
• Coordinate with IT and other stakeholders to implement infrastructure upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities
• Develop automation for system maintenance and custom telemetry feeds to third parties using Python, PowerShell, and .NET.
