Job summary

Invenergy LLC, North America’s leading energy company, seeks an expert to manage and optimize the AVEVA PI System across enterprise-scale environments. You will administer PI Data Archive, PI Collectives, AF, Interfaces, and PI Vision, while enhancing data integrations and system reliability for control-center operations.

You will collaborate with IT and operations, develop automation in Python, PowerShell, and .NET, and mentor junior engineers as part of a modernization effort.

Qualifications

• Five or more years administering enterprise-scale AVEVA PI environments including Data Archives, PI Collectives, AF, Interfaces, Connectors, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, and PI Vision.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts, including identifying and troubleshooting communication issues.
• Proficiency with programming and scripting languages such as .NET, PowerShell, and Python

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for OT systems, with a primary focus on the AVEVA PI System and associated data integrations.
• Configure and maintain data collection into the AVEVA PI System from OT platforms, including SCADA systems, DCSs, RTUs, PLCs, and other data sources.
• Investigate, evaluate, and integrate complex or unfamiliar OT systems with the AVEVA PI System.
• Administer and support AVEVA PI System components including, but not limited to PI Data Archive, PI Collectives, AF, Interfaces, Connectors, Adapters, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, and PI Vision.
• Lead efforts to improve PI System architecture, data integrations, and platform reliability.
• Coordinate with IT and other stakeholders to implement infrastructure upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities
• Develop automation for system maintenance and custom telemetry feeds to third parties using Python, PowerShell, and .NET.
• Lead onboarding activities for new project startups, including point definition, system configuration, and stakeholder coordination.
