Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a seasoned OT and AVEVA PI System Administrator to own data collection, integration, and reliability for enterprise-scale PI environments. You will oversee PI Data Archive, AF, interfaces, and vision components, while coordinating IT upgrades and developing automation in Python, PowerShell, and .NET.

The role requires strong TCP/IP networking knowledge, and a track record of implementing scalable solutions within industrial IT/OT environments.

Qualifications

• Five+ years administering enterprise-scale AVEVA PI environments including Data Archives, PI Collectives, AF, Interfaces, Connectors, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, and PI Vision.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for OT systems with focus on AVEVA PI System and data integrations.
• Configure and maintain data collection into AVEVA PI System from OT platforms (SCADA, DCS, RTUs, PLCs).
• Investigate, evaluate, and integrate complex OT systems with PI System.
• Administer PI System components (PI Data Archive, PI Collectives, AF, Interfaces, Connectors, Adapters, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, PI Vision).
• Lead improvements to PI System architecture, data integrations, and platform reliability.
• Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, patching, maintenance with IT and stakeholders.
• Design scalable workarounds for system limitations; prepare infra modernization justifications.
• Develop automation for maintenance and telemetry feeds using Python, PowerShell, and .NET.
• Lead investigations of PI System issues affecting performance and data availability.
• Maintain technical docs for solutions and integrations.
• Support Operations Engineering with data pipelines and integrations.
• Maintain real-time data collection for control center operations.
• Lead onboarding for new project startups; mentor junior staff.
