Job summary

Motional is seeking an Operations Manager for AV Test Engineering to lead in-vehicle testing operations at two sites. You will oversee 50+ specialists, ensure fleet readiness, and align staffing with company OKRs on a 3–6 month horizon.

You will coordinate with HR, Safety, and Legal to keep tests on schedule and safe. You will build execution plans, manage capacity, and communicate risks to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• Experience leading a multi-site operations workforce via supervisors.
• Experience with fleet readiness and field or vehicle operations.
• Strong schedule and capacity planning skills with resource flexibility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to senior leadership and crews.

Responsibilities

• Lead Supervisors and 50+ specialists across two sites.
• Set staffing, readiness plans, and performance reviews.
• Own readiness of vehicles and equipment for in-vehicle testing.
• Build 3–6 month execution plans aligned to OKRs.
• Balance workload and preserve scheduling when staffing or equipment changes.
• Collaborate with HR, Legal, Procurement, and Safety as needed.
• Represent test execution to senior leadership with capacity and risks.
