Job summary

The Centers, Inc. is seeking a Lead Event Technician - Audio-Visual for Pepperdine's Mountain Waves Arena and related spaces. On-site duties span setup, operation, troubleshooting, and training for live events, with a focus on AV infrastructure and broadcast support.

Work includes evenings and weekends as events occur. The role emphasizes collaboration with campus partners, vendors, and the CENTERS team to deliver exceptional event experiences in a modern, multi-purpose facility opening October

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years experience in AV/event tech or related field.
• CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D, Extron, Dante certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support for arena technology hardware, software, audio-visual, broadcast, and live-event tech.
• Configure, operate, test, and troubleshoot AV, broadcast, graphics, routing for events.
• Lead integration testing and contribute to project planning and post-event review.
• Create and update service tickets; document issues and resolutions.
• Provide on-the-spot training and guidance to staff, students, and vendors.
• Coordinate resources and schedules to resolve conflicts and meet event needs.
• Maintain operation guides, training materials, and equipment documentation.
• Identify service improvements from feedback and events to enhance operations.
• Support clean, safe, organized spaces and professional work environments.
• Provide guidance to student and temporary staff as assigned.
