Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking a commissioning engineer to lead the final testing and commissioning of complex Audio-Visual systems. You will provide technical and managerial leadership on major tasks and ensure project objectives are met, in close collaboration with the Project Manager and field teams.

The role requires hands-on testing, system validation, and clear documentation of test results. Travel to multiple client sites will be required as part of project delivery.

Qualifications

• Operate and interpret schematics and blueprints to support AV installations.
• Support user acceptance testing and commissioning activities.
• Perform testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of AV systems and control platforms.
• Demonstrate ability to travel to client sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
• Test point-to-point functionality of systems.
• Review SOW for quality and completeness of installation.
• Test integrated systems and troubleshoot AMX/Crestron and DSP systems.
• Field install control programs and upload/download capabilities.
• Write code for DSP systems.
• Make minor programming changes under supervision.
• Fine tune AV systems for optimal performance.
• Configure IP devices for network communication.
• Provide client training and finalize job documentation.
• Act as customer liaison in absence of PM.
• Manage and close out Punchlists.
• Ability to travel to various job sites.
