Job summary

AVI-SPL, Inc. is seeking a skilled AV Test and Commissioning Specialist to lead final testing and commissioning of complex AV systems during and after builds.

You will provide technical/management leadership on major tasks and work with the Project Manager to document test results from system testing and commissioning. The role requires hands-on experience with AMX/Crestron systems, DSPs, and IP networking, along with strong communication skills and the ability to travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate professionally with clients and team members.
• Proficient with test and calibration equipment.
• Support user acceptance testing and document results.
• Basic to intermediate programming capability (AMX/Crestron) and troubleshooting.
• Ability to diagnose complex AV system problems and understand IP networking.

Responsibilities

• Read schematics and architectural blueprints.
• Test point-to-point functionality of AV systems.
• Review SOW to ensure installation quality.
• Test integrated systems and troubleshoot AMX/Crestron and DSP.
• Upload/download control programs; write DSP code as needed.
• Fine tune audio/video for optimal performance.
• Configure IP devices for network communication.
• Provide client training and final job documentation.
