Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking a hands-on AV testing and commissioning technician to expertly finalize complex AV systems on site and post-build. You’ll lead testing with the Project Manager, document results, and support installation quality. Travel to multiple job sites is expected.

Ideal candidates will read schematics, test point-to-point systems, and troubleshoot AMX/Crestron and DSP workflows while communicating clearly with clients and team members.

Qualifications

• Must have strong ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with system testing and commissioning in AV projects.
• Proficient with test and calibration equipment and basic programming.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
• Test point-to-point functionality of systems.
• Review SOW to ensure quality and completeness of installation.
• Test integrated systems and troubleshoot AMX/Crestron and DSP.
• Field installation of control programs (AMX/Crestron); upload/download.
• Write code for DSP systems.
• Fine tune audio-video systems for optimal performance.
• Configure IP-addressable devices for network communication.
• Provide client training and finalize job documentation as needed.
• Travel to various job sites as required.
