Job summary

Golden Star Technology Inc. (GST) in San Diego, CA, seeks an AV Field Cabling Installer to join our hands-on installation team.

You will install and configure AV systems, perform structured cabling, and support on-site project execution across diverse environments. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in AV installation or related low-voltage work, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in AV installation, low-voltage systems, or structured cabling.
Experience with commercial AV systems and installation best practices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working at heights and using ladders or lifts.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Reliable transportation to travel between job sites.
Must provide standard trade tools.

Responsibilities

Install and configure AV systems including displays, projectors, video conferencing systems, and AV racks
Perform structured cabling, including cable pulls, terminations, and labeling for low-voltage systems
Troubleshoot and test AV equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance
Assist with system layout, installation planning, and job site preparation
Load and update AV control system software as required
Maintain a professional and customer-focused presence onsite
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to quality standards
