Job summary

AVIT is seeking a Field Technician responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low voltage systems including AV, IT, surveillance, and security. You will design, install, and maintain structured cabling, configure A/V equipment, and support IT networking within client environments.

You will ensure projects meet safety standards and timelines while documenting designs and troubleshooting steps for clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with low voltage cabling, A/V systems, and IT networking.
• Ability to troubleshoot end-user hardware and software issues.
• Strong communication to coordinate with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain structured cabling for data, voice, and video.
• Terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fiber optic cables.
• Install, calibrate, and configure A/V equipment including projectors and conferencing systems.
• Configure and maintain network devices (switches, routers, access points) and assist with wired/wireless designs.
