Job summary

Fort Lewis College's Campus Audiovisual Technology Services (CATS) seeks a Senior Audiovisual Engineer to lead design, integration, and support of AV and automation across campus spaces. The role includes live event production, streaming, and training faculty to maximize reliable technology use.

You will program Q-SYS, manage Dante networks, and install/maintain projectors, cameras, microphones, and displays, while staying current with system updates and collaborating with Physical Plant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline (or four years of professional IS/AV experience in lieu of a degree).
• Two years of experience with AV control systems such as Crestron, Extron, or Q-SYS.
• Proficient with AV technology: projectors, PTZ cameras, displays, HDMI/DisplayPort, HDBaseT and Dante.
• Familiarity with networking, Windows and Mac OS, and basic sound engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Address issues reported via ticketing systems and channels.
• Program and stay updated on Q-SYS and related AV systems.
• Operate live-streaming equipment for events using OBS/VMIX or similar tools.
• Install and maintain AV equipment across campus spaces and remote sites.
• Plan low-voltage wiring and basic construction for AV projects with PPS coordination.
