Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. in Tysons, Virginia, seeks an AV Program Engineer 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems unit.

You will design, engineer, integrate, operate and maintain advanced Audio/Visual solutions for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets. The role requires hands-on development of Crestron control systems, AV network configuration, and software development in C# .NET.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5+ years or Master's Degree with 3+ years in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated experience programming and deploying Crestron control system programs for conference rooms, operations centers and divisible rooms.
• Experience calibrating and tuning audio solutions (microphones, speakers, DSPs) for conference rooms and operations centers.
• Experience configuring and deploying AV systems (Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx) and AV-over-IP (Crestron DM-NVX, DANTE).
• Experience developing with third-party control modules using SSH, RESTFul, RS232, etc.
• Experience developing and deploying software applications in C# .NET for multi-core platforms.
• Crestron, Biamp and/or QSC certifications.
• Strong communication, independence and team collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and pass background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and deploying software for Audio/Visual Control Systems and Touch Panels.
• Designing configuration frameworks for large, complex, resilient systems.
• Commissioning Audio Visual Systems and calibrating/A/V networks and devices.
• Performing peer reviews and providing feedback on designs and touch panels.
• Developing post-installation documentation for operation and maintenance.
• Developing and conducting on-site user and admin training for installed systems.
• Setting goals and plans to organize and accomplish work.
• Tracking source code status for project managers and clients.
