Job summary

Cyngn, Inc. in Mountain View, CA seeks a Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer to own system-level reliability, test strategy, and safety validation for autonomous tuggers deployed in North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems or Robotics Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years in system integration and test of vehicles or robots.
• Own verification and validation for a safety-relevant electromechanical product from test plan to signed-off evidence.
• Fluent with vehicle instrumentation: CAN tooling, data acquisition, oscilloscope and DMM, Python or MATLAB.
• Comfort designing fixtures and working in test labs, customer sites or manufacturing floors.
• Experience with functional safety standards (ISO 13849 / IEC 61508, ISO 3691-4, UL 583 / UL 3100, ANSI B56.5).

Responsibilities

• Own system-level reliability and test strategy across EVT, DVT and PVT to drive performance, brake, cycle, thermal, environmental and safety testing.
• Stand up reliability program for new vehicle: duty-cycle profiles, HALT planning, failure tracking and corrective action.
• Instrument prototype vehicles and turn data into clear pass/fail and root-cause reports.
• Derive safety test cases from hazard analysis and verify safety functions on the vehicle.
• Lead regulatory test programs for powered industrial trucks and automation, coordinating with labs and certifiers.
• Design and build test fixtures, harnesses, and automation to accelerate testing.
